Ingredients:

  • One pack of puff pastry;
  • 400 g minced meat (I take beef and pork, mix them in a ratio of 1 to 1);
  • one large onion;
  • ground salt and pepper;
  • a little flour;
  • medium bunch of green onions;
  • 5 ml vegetable oil.

Cooking process:

Prepare the ingredients according to the list presented above.

Peel the onion and rinse them well in cold water along with the green onions. Fry finely chopped white onion in a frying pan in a small amount of oil. As soon as a golden crust appears on the surface, turn off the burner.

Chop green onions.

Add all the prepared ingredients to the minced meat. Add salt and ground pepper. If desired, you can add a spoonful of sour cream or curd cheese to the minced meat, then the filling will be more juicy. Mix everything until smooth.

Cut out a square of puff pastry measuring ten by ten centimeters.

Roll it out with a rolling pin, the area of ​​the layer should approximately double. Carefully spread the minced meat, using your hands.

We fasten the edges by pressing tightly with our fingers on both sides.

Grease a baking sheet with a small amount of refined oil, lay out the triangles with meat.

Place in a preheated oven to bake for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.

In addition to puff pastries with meat, you can make puff pastry with minced meat. The meat pie recipe is more convenient because it can be prepared faster. Just keep in mind that if you roll out the dough in a thick layer and put a lot of filling, then there is no need to talk about quickly preparing a meat pie. Children will definitely not refuse this pie for breakfast, and its aroma will wake up all family members on time and no one will be late for anything.

  • 500 gr. minced meat;
  • 500 gr. puff pastry;
  • 250 gr. cheese;
  • 2 eggs;
  • a teaspoon of salt;

  1. Fry the minced meat in a frying pan for about 7 minutes.
  2. Grate the cheese not very coarsely.
  3. Defrost the dough.
  4. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and roll them out.
  5. Grease a baking sheet with sunflower oil and place one layer of rolled dough into it. At the same time, pull the edges of the dough a little.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix minced meat, cheese, egg, a pinch of salt and pepper.
  7. Place the minced meat on the dough on a baking sheet.
  8. Cover the layer of minced meat with the second layer of dough and pinch the edges well.
  9. Be sure to brush the top of the pie with egg so that it doesn’t have a hard crust after baking.
  10. Before putting the pie in the oven, you need to pierce it in several places with a fork.
  11. Preheat the oven to 180° and place the baking tray with the cake in it to bake for 40 minutes.
  12. If the pie is not very tall, you can bake at 200° for 30 minutes.

How to cook meat pies from puff pastry in the oven

First you need to transfer the ground beef into a bowl, add chopped onion to it, season everything with freshly ground pepper and salt to your taste. Mix the filling thoroughly.

  • The dough cannot be kneaded with your hands; it is rolled out with a rolling pin in one direction so as not to disturb its layered structure.

  • 450 g chicken or mixed minced meat;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of white breadcrumbs;
  • ½ small onion (or 1 teaspoon of onion powder);
  • 2 cloves of garlic (or 1 teaspoon of garlic powder);
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of finely chopped greens (parsley and dill);
  • ½ teaspoon salt;
  • 1 small chicken egg (for brushing pies);
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of water.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, grease it with a little oil and set aside for now.
Using a fork, beat the egg in a large bowl until frothy.

Add minced meat, breadcrumbs, minced garlic and onion (or onion and garlic powder), herbs, mustard and salt to a bowl.

Mix the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous mass.
Then divide the minced meat into 6 equal parts.

Divide the dough in half.
On a floured surface, roll out one piece of dough into a thin rectangle.
Cut the rectangle into thirds so that you have three strips of dough.

Place the prepared portion of the meat filling in the center of each puff pastry strip.

Roll the strip of dough around the filling and seal the seam well, pressing the edges firmly with your fingers.

Cut each roll into 6 equal pieces (about 5 cm each).

Pierce each puff pastry pie twice with the tip of a knife or fork.

Repeat with the rest of the dough and the rest of the filling.
Transfer the pies to the prepared baking sheet.

Beat an egg with a tablespoon of water in a cup and brush the top of all the pies with this mixture using a pastry brush.

Bake the puff pastry meat pies in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until they are golden brown.

Serve the pies warm - with broth, tea or milk.

  4. Thaw the dough at room temperature according to the instructions on the package. Roll out the dough into a layer 3 millimeters thick, cut into even squares with a side of 10-12 centimeters. Place filling in the center of each square.

  5. Brush the edges of the dough with egg white and bring all the corners together at the top, forming a kind of pyramid. Place the pies on a baking sheet and brush the tops with yolk.

  6. Place the puff pastry pies with meat in the oven preheated to 220 degrees. Bake for about half an hour until the pies are lightly browned.
